What To Do if Your Computer is Lost or Stolen

Summary

If your laptop computer or mobile phone (even personal laptop / mobile phone) is lost or stolen please contact IT immediately. We'll send a remote wipe command for the data on your laptop and loop in additional teams like Security and Workplace Experience based on the type of incident. 

This is very serious, and could potentially put your personal data, the company's data, or customer data and privacy at risk, so it's important we act quickly to resolve this.

 

What Should I Do Next?

The IT Team is here to help! Send us a ticket and we'll take care of things. Please provide as much detail as possible, including location information and who you have already contacted regarding the lost/stolen property.

While we sort out the ticket, it's your responsibility to file a police report.

If possible, you may be asked to remotely lock or erase the data on your mobile phone, so please configure your phone to allow this.

REMINDER: Please do not install the VPN on personal devices (if you've done this, please uninstall ASAP). Please review the Information Security Policy for full details on approved ways to access data.
